Silent Truth

A Cold Road to Justice

Malevolence and murder invaded the small community of Millwood in Southwest Georgia, on October 5, 1960. The target was the McCurdy family who lived in the farmhouse on Cedar Springs Road. As the family went about their daily routine that beautiful Indian summer day, they were unaware that by day’s end, all but two of them would be dead.

Rosalie, the oldest daughter, never could’ve imagined that when she returned home from work that night she’d witness the brutal murders of her momma and siblings by the madman she used to call Daddy. His sights were now set on her, but he had no clue where she was. He failed to complete his mission and unknowingly left the only witness to the murders alive.

After setting fire to the farmhouse, he simply left the scene of his crime. When his taillights were out of sight, Rosalie, terrified and trembling, came out of the shadows. The fear that pulsed inside her consumed all sense of reason. So, in the aftermath of the murders, she ran away and resigned herself to a life shrouded in the silent truth of the horror she witnessed.

The last thing she ever expected was to find herself back in the crosshairs of his evil intent; that is, not until the irony that history repeats itself became a terrifying reality.
